Oishi Park lies on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi, where Mount Fuji rises directly across the water. Flower beds run along the shore: lavender in early summer, then kochia bushes that turn from green to red in autumn, with the mountain behind.

It is open and easy for a session — a long lakeside path, low flowers that keep the view clear, and a reflection of Fuji in the lake on still mornings. Couples and families both find room here.

The mountain is clearest in the colder months and in the early hours; in summer it is often in cloud by mid-morning. The park gets busy around midday in the flower seasons.
